Administrator Professional Learning Series (APLS)
Are you a director in early education in Texas and participating in Texas School Ready (TSR)? Are you looking for opportunities to grow and strengthen your program? Then join our Administrator Professional Learning Series (APLS)!
Over the years Texas School Ready has supported infant, toddler, and prekindergarten teachers across the state to strengthen their early childhood classrooms and the outcomes of children through continuous quality improvement (CQI). Now we want to partner with early education administrators/directors to help improve quality across your entire program, all at no cost to you.
Through our virtual APLS program you will:
- Grow your staff
- See impact in student outcomes
- Increase your family engagement
- Gain your professional development (PD) hours
- Be trained in all the CLI tools and resources
Once you have joined APLS you will be assigned a TSR APLS coach that will be able to answer all your questions, schedule a 1-on-1 coaching session, and help you come up with a annual plan with actionable goals. They will also deliver professional development trainings covering a variety of topics.
Topics include (highly-recommended):
- Overview of the CQI cycle
- Having an effective conversation with your teachers using the CQI strategies
- How to implement CQI in your early learning center
Optional topics:
- Family Engagement Tools
- Circle Progress Monitoring System
- Developmental and Referral Checklists
- Professional Development on CLI Engage
- Classroom Circle Activity Collection
All trainings will be virtual and receive a 1-hour certificate, plus CDUs where applicable. Your non-TSR teachers will also be able to take these same optional trainings, to increase quality improvement across your early learning center.

Our APLS coaches use the Professional Learning Communities format (PLC) to provide you with research-based professional learning opportunities to guide directors in creating center-wide goals to help improve their TSR early learning programs.
APLS coaches also provide trainings on the tools found on CLI Engage to support continuous quality improvement across your site.
